My sister insists on coming here every time she visits me. She loves the chicken katsu meal.
Pro-tip: instead of asking for extra meat if the portion is too small for you, order an extra chicken cutlet for $5.45 more. It’s worth the extra $2-$3 for the substantial amount of extra meat that you get.
All in all, speedy service, friendly staff, and tasty food. Recommended!
Went back here for my second time. Nothing like the first. It was at the end of the lunch rush. Got the same chicken curry I got last time only this time it was pretty bad. The chicken was so rubbery and oily. Ate once piece and threw the rest away. Giving 2-stars instead of 1-star since the first time I came was so good. Consistency is very important for a food establishment. No customer wants to come again and order the same thing and have such a different experience. Will def not be back especially with so many other choices in the area.
The first photo was when I ate it for the first time and it was delicious ! This time was the to-go-order. You can even see the difference.
The Chicken Katsu was perfect. There is a deduction for the employee who was maximally unfriendly.
Cheap tasty curry franchise. The tables felt a little dirty and the chairs are pretty uncomfortable but you get what you paid for. A $15 meal in the financial district that can fill you up. Pretty worth
Their prices have gone way up in the past few months since I started going there. ~25% higher for a Home Run with chicken- $16.95 to $20.95 honestly, it's a high price to pay for what is considered Japanese comfort food. aside from that, it's one of my favorite things to eat but with the price increase, I will be making my curry at home because I can't justify spending over $20 for a lunch.
Affordable curry and Katsu! Lots of sizes, but small is enough for a decent sized meal.
Delicious, and freshly fried Katsu.
Indoor seating, fast service
Food was tasty. I felt like the portions were fair for the price. Ill be honest and say it was not the best Japanese curry out there but was definitely good for fast food. Service was good. Nice staff. This location has a small dining area.
Delicious. Fast. Not expensive. A perfect place for a quick lunch/dinner.
Beware: a small size is exactly the portion I would go for if not extremely hungry. My husband and I shared the Grand Slam (size L) plate and it was more than enough for two people.
Also, prices on google menu are out of date. Add approx. $2 per plate.
